The street department of my town is doing yearly chip & seal maintenance to asphalt streets... I drove about 9 blocks on one of these streets after a thunderstorm on the day that it was coated... at the carwash tonight, I found the sides of my car coated with a spray of the black "emulsion" that is used... what can I wash with short of removing the residue with WD-40 and rewaxing the car?
What ever you use your still going to want to rewax it maybe even clay bar. I would use WD-40 then clean off the WD-40 with with rubbing alcohal. Then wash and wax
I would try using the clay bar with pretty good lubrication...then I would get some tar-x. It is by CarPro. Works like a charm on stuff like this. Then do a decon on your car, then 50/50 ipa on your car then use some paint sealant.
