So slow to go, very slow to stop and I coast as much as I can. I try to have a large gap between me and the car ahead of me in traffic. That way I am still rolling while they have come to a complete stop. The less I am at a complete stop, the less fuel I burn.
That's my technique, and I can get that (equivalent of 33US MPG) any day of the week, even with some city driving, using 87 octane.

I, however, got 36.9US MPG on my last tank, same conditions and techniques, using premium ethanol-free gasoline. You should try the same. I am 1.5mpg down midway through the current tank, when I switched back to E10 87 octane.
