It was an st fully loaded.
first off it was way overpriced, turbo'd or not. it definitely wasn't as quick as I expected it to be, my 11 fusion sport i just traded does 15.1 in the 1/4 na and gets 31mpg hwy.
The interior was also to polluted with electronic gizmos taking away from it being anything close to a drivers car and it wasn't all that comfortable for a long drive. It didn't have the feel of the previous models in corners and the electric steering helped compound that feel.
Not to mention my insurance would jump just slightly over 50 bucks every 6 months amongst other reasons. C&D puts it at 14.8 1/4 mile, 25mpg hwy.
It got beat out by several cars in Edmunds and C&D tests. not to mention the poor aftermarket support for the focus. I keep trying to go back, but I also keep realizing the focus was created to replace the escort, but somehow the pricing went nuts on new and the resale tanks hard.
I ended up once again going with something else for about the same money, same gas mileage, larger, recaros, faster 1/4 time, edged the frs and genesis out on road course, and my insurance actually went down 50 bucks every 6 mth. and this car has astronomical aftermarket support.
And no, I'm not trying to trash on the focus. Just not the car for me anymore no matter how hard I try to like it again, just can't justify the cost aspect nor the sardine can effect on long trips.
