Rule of thumb that I use is that anytime I'm replacing something under the hood to disconnect the NEG battery cable while I'm doing the work . That way it resets your ECU to relearn the new parameters . After the work is done put the NEG battery cable back on , start the car let it idle until the motors at operating temperature . Then if its possible take it out for at least a 20 minute drive that way the ECU relearns the Air Fuel ratio along with your driving style.
