After a few drive cycles, the front end is about 3/8" higher with the new assembly (strut/spring assembled by the fine folks that work for Ford).
So, the springs were sagging a bit after about 118k miles. Glad I did it.
A few winds of the springs had some shiny areas - the inner wheel well has what appears to be a corresponding series of rubbed marks.
Could it be they were whapping??????????????
