A few comments, off topic and on topic.
We owned a Mazda 3 -we were getting bad paint chipping and rust after the first year, and we got rid of it because some older cars around 09 have visible perforation. The cars are poorly designed for CDN winters (no inner fenders).
Focuses devalue. All cars devalue. Fords devalue more than most, but this is exactly why I bought a used one with 12,000 miles. The car was like new, I paid $8500 less than new. Cash.
I have never bought a new car in my life. The most devaluation of any car in in the first year.
Think this is just Ford? A 2006 Mercedes CLK500 cost $112,000. They are worth $21,000 on trade-in (in top condition).
