I put Hankook H727 on my daughter's Focus Wagon. The sidewalls are more flexible than those of my favorite BF Goodrich tires, which I felt would be better for CO winter driving for her. It also makes the ride a little nicer.

The only trade-off is a tiny bit less road-feel/stiffness in summer driving. But the Focus wheelbase is a bit more stretched out than that of my Saab, so I actually don't notice much of a change unless I'm really looking for it. Also, your ZX5 is a bit lighter than my 900, so I would think the more flexible sidewalls would be a benefit.

They're nice tires & seem to wear pretty well. She says they have very good winter traction. They were right at your $100/tire limit.
"Help, Mr. Wiza-a-ard!!"
