Cars were on jackstands. Wheels off of course. Jacked up lca abit. Removed shock. Let lca all the way down. Stood on lca, gripped fender and bounced/pushed down while other person grabbed spring. First time we tried didn't work cuz we forgot to unbolt swaybars. It was a tight extraction.
Someone else said pretty much the same thing. I had to do the job by myself. No way was I gonna get that spring out like that.
Even so, it seems a lot simpler to just undo the upper control arm bolt and pry the thing out easy rather than doing it your way. Especially with an impact wrench.
