I'll definitely try a dry toothbrush for recent wax clean up. In my case the grey haze on my rocker moldings, etc. was probably there for years before I acquired the car in May. Erasers and dry toothbrushes didn't do much. Peanut butter seems to have cleaned off the wax and conditioned the plastic. It was also pretty quick for the ~3 square feet of each rocker molding. We'll see how the improvement stands up to the rain expected here over the next 2 days.
