Plastidip can last for a couple years easy depending on where you apply it. I have used forever black and let's just say it is definitely not forever. It faded after a month or two. And that was with using several applications of it. Had to redo all my pieces again and again. Same thing with any black trim restorer I've tried. Dip would work great for the cowl or you could paint it. Same with the b-pillars. Btw, the roof on my Kona has been dipped over a year with no problems. And I am about to do my interior panels with 3-4 heavy coats of dip.
Forever black is a dye. As long as you apply enough coats say 4-5 over a day it is permanent. I did the skirts behind the rear wheel on my old Volvo and they held up through a winter of salt and snow with no fading.
I would never try plastidip on a wiper cowl. Could you imagine trying to peel that off from all the little nooks and crannies? No thanks.
