My car goes in next week for the 12B37 recall (which I didn't even know applied to my March 2012 Ti Hatch!) and also going in to have a road test and address the clunking.
Spoke with the Service team lead on the phone for about 15 minutes, he was really curious about the issue. I told him that I would bring some extracts of posts from here (things that were replaced with/without positive results). I was really happy that he was that receptive - although I know I'm headed to many trips to the dealer for trial & error. At least, the dealer is just at the end of my street. I can't complain!
