I posted a faster time on an autocross course in a stanced Focus on cheap stretched Falken tires, rear control arms pointed to the sky, and tons of camber than I did in a properly setup autocross Focus on sticky autocross street tire rubber (Dunlop Star Specs). Same course, same day, I drove both cars.
Yes, the stanced Focus had more engine mods and was putting down more power to the ground with an LSD.
Pointless adding power to a stanced car? I think that shows it isn't.
