Buckets are MUCH lighter , Over Head Valve engines do NOT require the same amount of spring psi , with the lower amount of spring psi and the lighter buckets vs "lifters" you do NOT have to do the same type break in as with a convention engine

As for these facts being irrelevant and the intended actions being the same makes me thing you havent built many engines or you dont have a clue what your talking about
V8 Conventional engine has a rocker arm , push rod , higher spring psi and much heavier lifters with a MUCH smaller base circle , you have to take all this weight into account , the motions , the rocker arm ratio etc , that irrelevant ?
DOHC Zetec has a VERY LIGHT bucket with almost 2 times the sufface area and thats it , no other moving parts or weight
I find that VERY relevent
