lol, i just remembered an ait at ft devens...
on a friday they asked for volunteers to be agressors. being I didn't have anything else planned my dumb ass volunteered. come saturday we got together and were given packs with trip flares etc (some of you can see where this is going, you never get that stuff as agressors). so into a truck we go and got to the site where we were given our instructions and told good luck (that should have been a no brainer for a red flag right there).
anyway we made our way to the camp we were supposed to attack and began our setup or flares and such unbenownst to us our asses had already been screwed. so now onto our attack where we found noone until one idiot opened his mouth. The woods literally came alive and toward us from all different directions (at that time they wore black berets). we were so screwed since not one of us noticed we walked right over an op on our way there. we literally lit the woods up that night running through our own booby traps and we later found after we regrouped the few of us left, that the rest were either tied to trees or duct taped to them. all of us were black and blue for one reason or another, mostly from getting our butts beat on, running into trees, tripping, etc.
I learned right then and there to always ask who your agressing... special forces doesn't play around, and they were taking it easy on us.
