We have a PA system with two mics and some keys in our studio which is the entire loft in our house. We do a pretty heavy version of itsy bitsy spider.
I'm a drummer going on 35 years off and on again but I still love to play any chance I get. It drives my wife nuts though since I like to practice a lot. I need a studio. Right now I have a 1983 Tama Superstar 5 piece kit in a mahogany finish that sounds fantastic. I might upgrade to one of the Tama Starclassic Performer sets this year if the wife doesn't give me too much grief about it.

I also took up guitar a while back but I only have very basic skills on that instrument.

Good luck with your son perfecting his craft on the drums. It's a lot of fun for sure.
