I agree for the most part about your reasons to switch to LED bulbs. I don't agree with the 1st point since resistors are neccessary on our car and they will simply convert all that extra energy to waste heat (I think.) If that is indeed the case point 4 is also mute as your still using all that energy it's just being converted to heat instead of light through the resistor. Both points would certainly apply to household LED bulbs though.
