I would have to agree with Chris. I don't think it is the quality. If you drive down a road that has pebbles and stuff you will get chips in your paint. The lower the surface and exposed paint surfaces you have the more chips. The first new car I owned was a pre clear coat enamel. The only place that didn't get chipped was the chrome bumper! All the other new cars and a couple of motorcycles had chips in the paint after they had been driven several thousand miles.
So far my Focus doesn't have any chips after 2000 miles. I, like most of you will be discouraged when they come. Not a thing to look forward to.
