Well this is a good thread to subscribe to. Having just picked up my 2012 SE last week I'm a little concerned about the possibility of a faulty thermostat rearing it's ugly head on upcoming road trips planned over a couple of weekends in June. If it's in town it's an inconvenience to get the car towed and be without the car for a bit while a hard-to-get thermo is located, but on the road it could be a lot more than a somewhat minor inconvenience. Sounds like maybe order a spare now or at least tools and replacement coolant for the road to remove it altogether if it sticks closed.
Good thing is I'll be watching the engine temp like a hawk and know what's going on if things go awry.
