From what I've read in a few posts it seems to be a problem with how the computer is set or which read out it is referring to (accumulated for actual mpg) rather than an actual problem with the gas mileage. I think you need to do a actual check by gallons pumped vs miles driven to see the actual mileage before relying solely on the trip computer.
This is a repost of a prior note ... but if you are trying to get a specific mpg on a specific trip
at the start reset Average MPG .. AND reset trip Odometer
if you don't reset the trip odometer it seems to take in prior milage into average, which you don't want to do to see a decent MPG on a specific trip.
