Keep in mind that the ZX2 is much like the ZX3 in that you do have a return system but it is built into the cannister and returns back into the cannister 25-40% of the fuel that the pump puts out , this is done so when the fuel is low and you take off or turn corners you have fuel trapped in the cannister till fuel comes back around the cannister
With the early testing I did on my car when I took the stock pump that was falling to 28psi at 400HP and put it direct with no cannister the fuel psi held to 65psi at 7000 the cannister is a lot of the issue
