Focus Rookie

Hello! I am a new owner of a 2012 White Ford Focus SE. So far I have added rain guards, a bug shield, chrome door handle covers, hubcaps, exhaust tip, and a few stickers. I'll post pictures as soon as I get around to it. After about a month of driving I am averaging 33 MPG with the automatic transmission. Very pleased with everything and always looking for pictures of any other mods.

Hello all! Owner of a 2001 Black Focus ZX3, again. Had her 4 years ago then went off to college and let my brother have it. Now he has moved on to another vehicle and I'm driving it again. I must say it feels good to have her back!

Hi, I just joined up! Had a 1998 Escort but the valve seat dropped and I wanted a better engine, got a 2003 ZX5 with 5 speed, double overhead cam 2 liter. It has a tach, cruise, power windows & doors, the 9006 audiophile system with a bass speaker in the back, and the 16 inch alloy wheels.
I got it in March and already have put 7,000 miles on it.
The volume knob on the radio doesn't work, but I just downloaded the owner's manual from your link and found out that it has AVC which should solve the problem.
I look forward to some good discussions here!
Ken

Hey all,

My wife had two 1st gen Ford Focus sedans (2000 and 2004). She eventually had problems driving in snow and the dealer talked her into trading up to a Ford Escape.

Fast forward to today and I'm wishing that I would have talked her into keeping the Focus instead of trading. I drive at least 100-150 miles daily for work, in all weather and all conditions that Wisconsin can throw at me. I actually drove her 2007 Focus within a few miles of a tornado that I did not realize was happening until I got home and saw news from where I was.

My current car (a Plymouth Acclaim) is a tank, but I know that it won't last forever and the Acclaim model isn't getting any newer. I really enjoyed driving the Foci and to me there was no question what my next commuter car would be getting when I compare them to other early-mid 2000's 4cyl cars (Neons, Proteges, and Cavaliers all felt cheap in comparison).

I'm here to read up a bit before I buy one and eventually score a good buy if someone lists a Zx3 near me in my price range.

Edit: Forgot to mention that my wife's grandma just bought a brand new Fiesta and loves it!

Hi Everyone! I'm a Newb!

I just sold my beloved 1992 Ford Mustang LX Hatchback. I've owned it since day one (11-14-1991) and I loved it so much that I needed to place it with the right new owner; the type of owner who could restore its engine and put a lot of time into it. I love cars, but I'm more of a "turn the key and drive it" kind of car owner.

I love the new Mustangs, but the Focus really is just right (like Goldilocks and the Three Bears "just right"). I'm now the proud new owner of a 2013 Tuxedo Black SE Hatchback! [:)] I also own a 2006 MINI S which I love, but I'm a Ford Girl at heart so I can't go without a Ford...

I look forward to hanging out with all of you here!

New 2012 Focus in our driveway!!

Last year, my wife and I bought a new 2012 Fusion S to replace my Ford Ranger Sport. It was a nice car and we were pleased with it. However, we decided to get something a little smaller and sportier and Saturday we traded it in on a new 2012 Ingot Silver 5 door Focus SE.

We LOVE our new Focus WAY more than we loved the Fusion. The 2013 Fusions are going to be awesome, but we have no kids, only a dog, so the smaller size of the Focus is a much better fit for us.

We carried over some negative equity from the Fusion, but I don't care. After driving the Focus, we had to have it.

Hi All
New to the site today so not really had a chance to look around, but I'm now off to find the right section to post in and hopefully get some help with my problem [:)]

Sorry if I'm sounding thick on my first time in, but i have a problem with my DPFE sensor and cant find the right section to post in, if you could point me in the right direction that would be great. Thanks

Hi everyone. Been a reader for a few weeks. I wish I would have found the site before I bought my 12' Ti. Probably could have gotten a better deal. I don't think I did too bad anyway. Got it for $200 below invoice. It has moon, sat nav, 18's, and is tuxedo black. I have an IT business so this will primarily be my work car. It's a blast to drive. Makes me feel like I'm 18 again. I took the intake cover off last night and took my son for a ride around the local back roads. This thing sounds ridiculous. I put the box cover back on until I purchase a kit. I've already found a few quirks with the FMT and message center but it's nothing I can't live with. I found if I jump in start it up, an go in reverse before the message center comes up completely, then shift to drive, the Rear Park Assist on/off indicator will stay on until I restart the car. Sometimes the LCD is slow to light up with menus but not often. I'll search through the other forums to see if this is common or correctable.

Peace!
