The hatchback version of the Si has less hp than an SVT at 160hp, and only a 5sp tranny. It wasn't until 06 that Honda got the Si right. My brother had an 05 Si which he let me drive several times...it may have had 160hp, but it felt like it only had 10ft/lbs of torque. It was rather sluggish, and was very sloppy feeling. Lets just put it this way. My Mothers 05 Kia Spectra was more fun to drive than my brothers Si. I haven't been able to drive the newer Si, but I imagine it is alot better...
+1. And even then some of the older Si models(depending on the year) required PREMIUM fuel.Horsepower doesn't mean squat if the vehicle doesn't have the TORQUE or power to weight ratio to back it up.
