I'd like to add an IAT sensor to my 2006 Duratec.
My understanding is it typically gets wired in with the MAF.
Which wires for the Duratec get used?
Are people using the Lightning IAT sensor?
On newer vehicles it is part of the maf (6 wire setup.) If you wanted to, you could take the 2 wires that are for the IAT out of the maf and get an extra sensor like the lightning one and wire it in. That way you could then put that sensor wherever you wanted to.
I might actually do that since I'm running a draw-through MAF.
So now that I think about it it's not all that convenient unless I switch to a blow-through setup.
Which wires are for the IAT?
According to alldata it should be the first 2 pins on the maf connector. Pin 1 should be a white wire with a violet stripe and pin 2 should be a brown wire with a white stripe.
Again, this is coming from alldata so it may or may not be correct.
sporadic I was going to say why not just convert to blow through? but it looks like you know whats going on [thumb]
