I would say it would be a good thing to have stiffer aftermarket mounts mechanically, but bad comfort wise. The point of stiffer mounts is to prevent the engine from jolting around during hard accelleration and hard shifts. This jolting can cause damage to the drivetrain; probably not immediatly, but over time. Just note that the vibrations due to removing the BS should be worse at higher RPMs.
So, you're exactly right kimbo. It probably would make it less comfortable, but the mounts would last longer. But, from what PitchBlackST said, it seems that the vibrations aren't that bad.
I'll probably go with stiffer mounts once I get some $$$. I have to get my exhaust first. I'm going with the Truebendz 2.5".
