Why do people get bent out of shape when it comes to Turbos vs Superchargers .......were some of you involved in developing them, LOL? I had a Vortech V-9 powered Focus running about 10-11psi and made about 190whp and 163tq. Granted it was never dyno tuned for maximum performance, it was a pretty fun car to drive. I now have a built engine and switching to a Xios based turbo kit and here are some of the reasons I decided to switch:
1. Adjustability of boost
2. NO MORE BELT ISSUES!!!
3. More torque than a supercharger
4. More horsepower potential than the supercharger I HAD
5. Full boost throughout more of the rpm range
Those are all the reasons I can think of right now but I'll post some more when they come to mind
