ok- I also have several mustangs, and came across this thread on corner-carvers.com-
in short, it states that the brembo caliper upgrade kit, for the RS brake upgrade that ford offers, will bolt onto an SN95 mustang spindle for the 13 inch mustang brakes (sn95 mustangs are the '94-'04).
so- this means that the stock 2-piston PBR cobra calipers will also bolt onto the RS focus brake setup with the 12.75 rotors.
now for the million dollar question- what would need to happen for the mustang cobra 2-piston PBR (that works on the RS kit) to bolt onto a non-RS spindle? (svt spindle, whatever)what rotor would be needed for this? anyone have cobra mustang brakes sitting around they could verify next time the wheels are off?
the ford catalog mentions "the RS hubs, front knuckles and rear spindles have increased stifness and bearing sizer over production", but it doesn't mention if the caliper mounts are different. I might be able to check this weekend (if I can find time), but don't know...
eye heart my svtf.
